The Favourite lidera las menciones con 14 categorías en las que compite en el segmento de cine, mientras que The Americans, Escape at Dannemora y The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story son los favoritos en televisión con cinco nominaciones cada uno.

Cada año, más de 300 críticos norteamericanos se congregan para reconocer a los mayores logros del cine y la televisión en la última temporada. Esta mañana se anunciaron los nominados para la 24ª edición de los Critics’ Choice Awards®, ceremonia que es considerada como la aproximación más exacta de lo que ocurrirá en la entrega de los Oscar. La gala será transmitida en vivo, desde The Barker Hangar en Santa Mónica, el domingo 13 de enero en TNT (doblada al español) y TNT Series (en idioma original) a las 18.00 horas.
Entre las películas destacadas para este año, The Favourite alcanzó 14 nominaciones, incluidas Mejor Película, Mejor Actriz y Mejor Actriz en Comedia (Olivia Colman), Mejor Actriz de Reparto (Rachel Weisz) y Mejor Director (Yorgos lanthimos). Tras esta cinta se ubican Black Phanter (12), First Man (10), Mary Poppins Returns (9), A Star is Born (9), Vice (9), Roma (8) y Green Book (7).
Entre otras postulaciones destacadas resaltan las cuatro nominaciones de Alfonso Cuarón, por su trabajo en Roma, que incluye el apetecido género de Mejor Director. Bradley Cooper, en tanto, irá a la competencia como Mejor Actor y Mejor Director junto a la favorita A Star is Born.
En las categorías de televisión, las principales beneficiadas con sus postulaciones a los Critics’ Choice Awards son The Americans, Escape at Dannemora y The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story, las que estarán en carrera por cinco galardones.
