Hoy se lanza la versión jamás escuchada de “Never Gonna Break My Faith” en voz de la Reina del Soul, Aretha Franklin, con un featuring de The Boys Choir of Harlem.
Coescrita por el galardonado cantante y compositor Bryan Adams, la canción ganadora del Grammy fue lanzada originalmente como un dúo con Mary J. Blige para la película de 2006 Bobby. Más de una década después, la letra de la canción es tan conmovedora como siempre.
Clive Davis, director creativo de Sony Music y amigo / productor desde hace mucho tiempo de la Sra. Franklin, afirma: «El mundo es muy diferente ahora. «Cuando escribí esta canción, estaba con Aretha, sin pensar nunca que ella realmente cantaría la canción», dice Adams. “La idea era escribir un himno, algo que intentara articular el sentimiento de fe y que, aunque hubieras perdido algo, siempre habría una luz interior que te guiará. Y cuando se hizo el demo de la canción, les dije a los productores que Aretha sería la que cantaría esto, y así fue, ella la cantó. Esta versión en solitario ha estado en mi computadora durante años, y cuando escuché que Clive estaba haciendo una película sobre la vida de Aretha, le envié esta versión. El mundo no ha escuchado su actuación completa y realmente necesitaba ser escuchada. Estoy muy contento de que se lance, el mundo necesita esto ahora».
